Three types of insurance. Different details to consider.

Zay Services offers Auto, Health, and Life insurance. Each addresses a different set of financial responsibilities, so the information worth discussing changes with the type of coverage.

Auto Insurance · 4 coverage levels

See exactly what changes between the Auto options.

Each row describes a real situation in plain language, with the policy term underneath. Every level keeps everything from the one before it and adds protection on top, starting with the liability coverage most states require and building toward protection for your own vehicle, everyday convenience and special circumstances.

Minimum liability requirements, and whether MedPay or PIP is required, depend on your state. Gap coverage generally applies only to financed or leased vehicles, and rideshare coverage is not offered everywhere. Limits, deductibles and exclusions are set in each policy, so review the specific terms before choosing a level.

Reading the comparison

Similar-sounding coverage can address different situations.

Three pairs from the Auto comparison above that are easy to mix up. Each pair is explained side by side.

Collision Coverage

Generally concerns covered damage to your vehicle resulting from a collision, subject to policy terms.

Comprehensive Coverage

Generally concerns certain covered non-collision events, which can include subjects such as theft, weather damage or falling objects depending on the policy.

Everyday conditions

Uninsured Motorist Coverage

May apply in covered circumstances involving a driver who does not have applicable insurance.

Underinsured Motorist Coverage

Concerns covered circumstances where the other driver's applicable insurance is insufficient for covered losses, subject to the policy.

Roadside Assistance

Usually refers to help arranged when a vehicle cannot be driven safely, as described by the policy. What that help consists of is set out in the policy itself.

Towing and Labor Coverage

Is often written as a separate benefit connected to towing and certain on-site labor. The two names can refer to related but not necessarily identical services or benefits. The exact assistance included depends on the policy.

A familiar coverage name does not replace reading the actual policy terms.
